Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmias
Class is from 8:30am - 3:30pm for the first two days; 8:30am - exam finish, usually by noon, on the third day.
The Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmias program is a three-day workshop designed to assist the student in acquiring the knowledge and skills essential for identifying basic arrhythmias.  The workshop content includes basic anatomy and physiology of the heart, electrophysiology, ECG tracing components and a step by step guide to rhythm strip analysis with over 600 practice rhythm strips.  Introduction to sinus, atrial, ventricular, junctional arrhythmias, AV and bundle branch blocks and cardiac pacing.  Each rhythm is by description with examples, causes, and management protocols.  Current ACLS guidelines are incorporated as applicable to the rhythm discussion.
Successful completion of the workshop is achieved through participation in all workshop activities and successful completion of the pre and post course exam - rhythm strip identification and measurements.
Intended Audience - Healthcare personnel whose job responsibilities require recognition, identification, and measurement of cardiac arrhythmias.
